IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID 19 2020

Dear BridgePrep Family,

At Bridgeprep Academy, the health and safety of our students, employees, families and friends is our top priority. We are diligently monitoring the Coronavirus and closely watching official information from health authorities such as the Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”) and World Health Organization (“WHO”) as it relates to our responsibilities. We are also taking proactive, preventative measures being shared throughout the education industry by school boards and Health Departments. General adoption of best practices as advised by the CDC is the best way to prevent the spread of any illness.

We will be implementing the following protocols to ensure that our staff and students remain safe during their time at Bridgeprep:

Until further notice all Out Of County Field Trips are postponed.

Local Field trips are to be approved as to review risk of illness from environment not controlled by Bridgeprep.

We will ensure custodial daily cleaning and disinfecting with Lysol and or Clorox wipes or equivalent, at least twice during school day and at the end of the school day of our classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and common areas is effective.

Classroom teachers will have scheduled hand washing and hand sanitizer breaks during transition.

Classroom teachers continue to maintain a clean classroom clear of debris

Classroom teachers continue to wipe all their students desks and computer keyboards multiple times a day with disinfectant wipes.

Custodial staff have been spraying Lysol 99.9% disinfectants on door handles, push bar levers, hand rails, sinks and toilets during operating hours.

Posters are displayed reminding staff and students to regularly hand wash for at least 20 seconds, no touching of nose, eyes and mouth

And above all please keep your sick child home to rest and hydrate

How can YOU help:

As you might be aware it is getting more and more difficult to get orders in for Sanitizers, especially bulk orders. Therefore, we are asking all parents to please provide their children with their own small sanitizer bottle that they can grab and reach for during their water breaks.

Also, we are looking to purchase more sanitizing equipment like free-standing sanitizing dispensers, sanitizing foam dispensers, and sanitizing towel dispensers if any of you have a way of getting any of the above please let us know and we will purchase it from you or your source.

Please have a safe and restful spring break and see you back on March 23rd.

Go Bulldogs!

Preventive recommendations that parents, staff and students should take:
Protect yourself and your children by practicing excellent personal hygiene. Remember to:

Be the steward of your own health and potential impact of any illness on others: If you are sick, stay home.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. You can also use your inner elbow if you do not have a tissue handy. Always wash or sanitize your hands afterward.
Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
Wash or sanitize your hands before eating.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
THANK YOU!
